Bobby’s Bakery sets up shop
North Melbourne is home to some of the city’s best pastries but thanks to Bobby’s Bakery it just got a lot better.
Located at 207 Dryburgh St, North Melbourne, Bobby’s Bakery opened its doors in November last year and has quickly won over locals with its signature Cornish pasty and delicious croissants.
Founder Sam Iverson told North West City News that while opening the store and balancing parenthood had been a challenge, it had been incredibly rewarding getting to know the North Melbourne community.
Originally from Cornwall in the United Kingdom, Sam has lived all over the world, but Melbourne is where he calls home.
By living in so many places, Sam has been able to draw from these experiences and bring them to life at Bobby’s Bakery, offering a mix of French, Italian, and English pastries.
The signature Cornish pasty is inspired by his mum’s own recipe, who still resides in Cornwall, the home of the Cornish.
Looking ahead to 2025, Sam is excited for Bobby’s to continue making its mark on North Melbourne and serving up some of the city’s most scrumptious treats.
