Italian favourite Brunetti Classico will open a new food emporium in November in Moonee Ponds’ newest residential development, Penny Lane.

Offering breakfast, lunch and dinner (and pre-dinner apertitvo, of course), the new venue stays true to the business’ aim of providing “the experience of Italy without paying for the airfare.”

“Breakfast will be presented Italian-style and how customers love best with a coffee and Danish pastry at the bar,” Brunetti Classico’s Fabio Angele said.

“However, brunch items to include a selection of panini or hot breakfast from the kitchen will be available for office workers and locals looking to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or brunch.”

Other features of the new location will include the much-loved panini counter, a new concept celebration cake boutique, gelateria, and an authentic “antipasto offering.”

“In the afternoon, we will serve made-to-order taglieri, which can be accompanied by a refreshing tap pulled Italian beer or item from our new cocktail menu,” Mr Angele said.

“In addition to our new taglieri offering, our desserts will be the star of the show on an evening, featuring mignon, individual cakes and gelato, perfect for couples seeking a sweet treat after dinner.”

The Moonee Ponds store will be located on the ground floor of Penny Lane, with the main entrance via Puckle Street.

Through the internal laneway, residents will also be able to access other hospitality venues in the complex, including the Palace Cinema rooftop.

“The Penny Lane development is the perfect location for our new Brunetti Classico,” Mr Angele said.

“We love that it embraces Melbourne’s laneway culture in it’s design, and the hospitality venues have been selected to ensure the destination provides patrons with a convenient lifestyle hub and exceptional experience.”

Brunetti Classico opened it’s flagship store on Lygon St in Carlton in 1985, and has been serving up traditional Italian treats ever since in an experience that could only be recreated in Italy.

To open the new location, Brunetti Classico will be recruiting 40 new staff to join its already-established team of more than 200 staff.

Brunetti Classico at Moonee Ponds will be open from 7am to late, seven days a week.
