West End Art Space Presents: Bloom: West End Grad Show

West End Art Space’s Bloom: West End Grad Show provides an opportunity for emerging artists to enter the commercial art world.

This group exhibition will showcase emerging talent from Monash University, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), and Victorian College of the Arts.

Running from February 3 to 24, selected graduate artists will have the opportunity to exhibit their work in a commercial gallery setting.

The team from West End Art Space visited the undergraduate and postgraduate exhibitions from these three art schools and selected student works to be exhibited in the group show.

“In doing so, we hope to give emerging artists a platform to display their work to a wider audience and provide an entry point to the commercial art industry,” West End Art Space founder and director Anna Prifti said.

Bloom offers these artists the opportunity to build exposure and develop industry connections.

Alongside this, two additional prizes will be announced at the exhibition opening:

  • 12-month representation in the West End Art Space stable; and
  • West End District Scholarship: Cash Prize (donated by local retailers and businesses at West End).

“We highly encourage the public to come out and support these artists, and to see what emerging talents are up and coming in our local art scene, especially for the opening reception, Thursday, February 8, where the artists will be present,” Ms Prifti said.

The exhibition is free to the public and all works are for sale.

Bloom opening launch is on February 8, between 6pm and 8pm, at West End Arts Space, 112 Adderley St, West Melbourne.
