Billie’s big move

This timid pup has just made the big move from Darwin to North Melbourne.

North Melbourne local Ben adopted Billie four years ago. They’ve been settling into the neighbourhood for the past few weeks after Ben moved to Melbourne for work.

“She’s super shy,” Ben told North West City News. “She’s a rescue from the Top End. I don’t know what her background was before I got her, but she’s always been quite timid.”

Ben says that while Billie is shy with new people and can get unsettled in new places, she loves meeting other dogs.

You’ll find Billie enjoying long walks around Royal Park and bounding around at the native grass circle. “She loves being chased by other dogs.”

At home, Billie has a penchant for a certain sweet treat. “I like to think her favourite treat is jellybeans … she loves stealing them off me.” •
