Why do you love playing soccer?

I’m passionate about soccer as I’ve always played it with my brothers on the street ever since I was a young kid. I love waking up in the morning and playing alongside my teammates who encourage and bring out the best in me. I’m hoping that one day I can be a Matilda.

Which athlete do you look up to?

Hayley Raso from the Matildas as she motivates me to never give up and play my part in my team at Kensington Colts. The skills, persistence, determination, and bravery she shows throughout games and in the World Cup is incredible. She commits herself to being the best player and inspires me to play to my fullest and follow the Matilda motto of “never say die”.

What do you love about the Kensington Junior Soccer Club?

It’s inclusive towards every player and my coach gets everyone to play as a team, to be their personal best and supports us to play by three rules, which are: 100 per cent effort, 100 per cent of the time, play as a team, and have fun. It’s nice to be able to be with friends and people in my community, everyone looks out for each other. •
